Class 2
Class Teacher: Mrs Olivia MacInnes - Year 1
/ Year 2
Subject leader Literacy
Welcome back to a new term, our last in
our old school building.
Our topic this term is going to be
Wonderful Water. We are going to use a study of
the canal as a way of linking our old school site to our new school. We will be
visiting the new school and taking walks along the canal, in the second half of
term. As part of our topic and upcoming move, we will be exploring the history
of the old school building. If any of the children’s’ parents or even
grandparents, went to St. Peter’s School, we would love to collect some records
and artefacts together. It would be wonderful to be able to talk with some
former pupils as well about how the school has changed over the years.
Please let us know if you know of anyone who would be willing to come in to talk
with the children. Thank you.
Homework will still be sent out on Wednesdays to be returned by the following Monday
Reading -The most important homework the children can do, is lots of reading.
Spellings - weekly spellings to learn, for a test on Mondays.
The Homework sheet may also contain any other class information for the following week. Please could you sign the bottom of the homework sheet to show that you have seen the information. All your hard work from last term is making a real difference.
Thank you for all your help with this.
